ohmygoodness, I am excited for this show.
Do you want to come to my cocktail party in Williamsburg on Thursday evening? 630pm to 1015pm
Yes. Wait, am I too late?
Can you get your agent or Jon Hamm to get you to host Saturday Night Live? 'Cause I'd be totally into that.
Sure.
Are you happy to be rid of Harry's bow ties? Someone commented that Harry was the only one embracing the changing '60s men's styles so far.
It’s a little sad, considering I had *just* learned how to tie my own tie. In fact, I wrote a piece about that very subject for this upcoming book by the outstanding Dyna Moe.
What exactly is Kirschwasser, may I ask?
It’s sort of a cherry brandy. More info here.
Any stories you can share from Robert Morse? (What an autobiography he must have in his head...) Point is, you work with a troupe of great talent, and some of it must be inspirational to you, I'd like to know what! (Mostly because you are 1) accessible, and 2) very engaging. )
I have a thousand Robert Morse stories, but they’re mostly stories he’s told me. I have been trying for four years to get him to write a book. He has lived an a m a z i n g life.
are we friends yet? jeeez!
Why, we’re best of friends!
The Rose
- 2 oz. Dry Vermouth
- 1 oz. Kirschwasser
- 1 tsp. Raspberry Syrup
Shake. Strain. Garnish with a Maraschino cherry.
I was nervous about a drink which uses dry vermouth as the base, but it’s goooood. Just a touch of sweet in a pretty dry drink. The kirsch seems to bridge the gap between the syrup and the vermouth.
Although it tastes a little like a Luden’s. Haven’t had one since I was a kid, but I think that’s what it reminds me of.
So how many donuts did you have to eat during the filming of last night's episode?
Not as many as I had to eat during the “Kurt’s a homo” scene in season two.
